INQ has got us feeling FOMO - I forgot what it’s like to hang out with my closest family and friends. New Leaf is the wholesome content we need right now. The family gathering captures what is most important to the duo, which is being present with the ones you love - ‘Nothing but some music and a lil’ company’. The video invites us into an intimate space. With their closest family and friends, you can’t help but feel like you belong.

The duo expresses gratitude towards their loved ones as they are the foundation of who they are. Their ‘Lolo’ (grandfather in Tagalog) opens the music video, and he is one of their biggest inspirations. ‘He is a firm believer in good karma. He always taught us to give life to people and expect nothing in return.’ says INQ.

The work they produce is creative and collaborative, and every track and video they release continuously raises the bar for Western Sydney artists. This time around, the duo partnered up with Western Sydney creative Benji Bock and producer ASTRO HIGH. ‘They had an open mind to creativity as a whole and respected and trusted the directions I wanted to take with the clip. I felt like we were on very similar wavelengths stylistically and theme wise so collaboration was a breeze.’ says Benji.

What is most notable about the two rappers is the overflow of pure authenticity. The lyrics they rap challenge listeners to do a little reality check. ‘Love and connection are the core of what gives meaning to life - a contrast to a lot of mainstream hip hop.’ says INQ

When listening to their lyrics, you can’t help but resonate with the ideas presented. Music with substance always hits home. ‘Artists like INQ, who bring positivity in strange times like our current landscape are so important. It’s an honour to have worked with them and I would do it again in a heartbeat.’ shares ASTRO HIGH.

New Leaf allows us to enjoy the process we call life with our closest loved ones.
