[EP RELEASE] 'MARIONETTE' - MO AUNG

Taking you on an immersive experience, Western Sydney based producer Mo Aung releases his EP ‘Marionette’.  It features four tracks which are of hip-hop and ambient influence. The project has been carefully curated to reveal his intention behind his music. 

The creative process has meant much more to him “Marionette is a response to the current political climate in Burma but through the process, it has also been a discovery of self and has brought a closer connection to my origin” he says. Mo is continually working on refining his work and exploring ways to innovate. He has also collaborated with other artists such as Midnight Swim, Sydney Romantics and INQ.

Beat Kitchen Records (BKR) are pleased to have Mo a part of their label and have included him to their roster. “Mo Aung is a great reflection of the type of artist we want to carry our message.

He is deeply original, has a wide library of input that informs his artistic choices but still manages to be direct with what he is looking to express. Basically, we love what he does and our goals align nicely so we are definitely looking forward to growing together.”

To celebrate, BKR and Bottega Studios will be hosting a day-time event to celebrate the release of the EP. Happening on the 20th of November guests will be able to purchase a copy of the 7inch vinyl, live printed, made to order T-shirts. Highlight of the day will be an intimate performance of ‘Marionette’ and special guests Gabby Nacua and BKR Djs.
