Chapter 23 EP Debut
Singer, songwriter Zeadala open’s her heart with her new EP ‘Chapter 23’. She teams up with First Nations producer Mark Munk Ross who brings her music to life.
Chapter 23 feels as if you’re reading straight out of the pages of her diary. The lyrics in her EP are profound revelations expressing her deepest emotions. She reveals her search for home and shares her feelings of heartbreak. Zeadala is fearless when it comes to speaking her mind on social issues such as inequality.
On the 10th of October Zeadala released her EP featuring her lead single ‘Somewhere’. This acoustic single explores breaking down boundaries to be able to experience the fullness of love. Other singles such as ‘Love again’ features John Gauci on keys, the track is a pop-rock track intertwining English and Thai in her lyrics to express a break-up.
“As a mixed-race woman who grew up in Australia, I have come to understand the importance of creating music that maintains a connection to culture, community and to the land. My simple guitar compositions make space for grounding, giving, as well as greater sense of connection in a world that seeks to divide and other” Says Zeadala.
Zeadala is one of the emerging artists, part of ‘Conscious’ music program hosted by Campbelltown Arts Centre (CAC) led by L-Fresh the Lion and received mentoring from Elefant Traks.
