WE THE WEST X THE WESTERN

As 2019 drew to a close, a collaborative ZINE was produced and curated by photographer Riyel Vallido. The award-winning creative approached us for a special project designed to empower and give platform to Western Sydney locals, artists, and hustlers alike. After months of planning and hard work, the ZINE was born and aptly named We The West. Bursting with raw street imagery and familiar faces, this project is a present to Western Sydney, carefully hand-wrapped by those who live and breathe it.

See profiles and interviews below of opnsrc.co, Inq.uisitiveminds, Nardean, Bless Khin Beauty, The Stonecutters, and Raro. Words by The Western (Laura, Mark, Erin, Tabitha, Michael, Nicole)

The ZINE in its entirety will be made available to view and purchase at a later stage.

Note: This ZINE was developed, curated, and published prior to COVID-19. Some details may be outdated.
