Back and badder than ever. Western Sydney RnB artist Maxine releases her new single and music video ‘Say Something’. There is nothing more badass than a woman in a matrix leather lookin’ piece manning a snake.

The song explores missed opportunities to love someone when we don’t take the chance to really say how we feel. It pains us when we’re not able to truthfully express how we feel about others. At times we catch ourselves wishing and dreaming what could be or could’ve been. Sometimes we wrestle with the idea of it and then realise it wasn’t really meant for us. Maxine expresses her grieving process of letting an idea of love go. 'I wrote it about an experience when someone expressed old love they used to have for me, but never told me. I fantasised about the idea of a relationship and 'Say Something' came about from that. I also really LOVE TO LOVE and this song is really my way of expressing that people shouldn't be afraid to love, or tell someone that they love them. I really believe that love is the greatest gift life has to offer, says Maxine.

Collaborating with Redscope films a western Sydney creative agency raising the bar for creatives put together strong visuals for ‘Say Something’. Director Adam Dionisio portrayed an image of a female force not to be reckoned with. The contrast of colours and angles emphasise the confidence and power Maxine holds. “It's made me feel powerful and powerless all at the same time and I wanted the 'Say Something' video to express that. Having the boys tied up with the snakes on their shoulders is my way of taking back my power over relationships and situations that were controlling my mind. Snakes shed their skin you see, so they're symbols of transformation, rebirth and healing and that's been a really huge part of my life this year."

A powerful track that most people can resonate with, even more powerful when the message couldn’t be any more real. Maxine encourages us females to be bald and confident with who we are and how we feel.
