CLARITY [REVIEW]

Take me to the future is exactly the kind of opening line you’d expect from recently reincarnated r&b powerhouse PA777IENCE (@pa777ience).

Ethereal, wistful and expansive, Clarity has it all. Described as an empowering anthem of self-discovery, the track is a pithy ode to growth and revelation. The vocal delivery is unapologetic. PA777IENCE is not settling any longer, reaching into their neo-soul and r&b roots to craft a charismatic musical offering.

The penmanship is fearless. PA777IENCE finds new authenticity in Clarity, noting that the track is a powerful affirmation of self-worth and a commitment to living guided by clarity and truth.

A two minute reintroduction is tasteful, making a strong first (second?) impression without loitering. Musically, Clarity is earthy and severe. Atop heraldic production, the choral arrangement intertwines nicely with a bouncy 808. A driving drum beat propels the track with flair. PA777IENCE doesn’t compete with the instrumental despite the conviction in their vocal delivery. Clarity lets the artist shine, opting to shimmer meekly behind the more important messaging of the track.

Worth noting as well is the synaesthetic resonance of the cover art (courtesy of @dannydrax). Hazy and idyllic, the imagery fits Clarity like a glove. PA777IENCE is clearly world building, with this single as a poignant reminder that reinvention is necessary for growth. Musically, they’re moving towards a sound that provokes and asserts, rather than one that comforts and appeases.

PA777IENCE is on a mission, and we’re here for it.
